Not at all! Just brush, roll, or spray it on (how are most going to apply this?). It goes on smooth, dries quick, and leaves a very professional finish without streaks or peeling … and the high price tag of paying someone else to do it!
Yes—make sure your wood is clean and dry. A quick power wash or scrub with wood cleaner or (soap) helps the sealant soak in better and last longer.
Yes—once it’s dry, it is completely safe for kids, pets, and plants. Just keep them off the area during application and allow proper drying time!
You can use it on almost any outdoor wood, including decks, fences, docks, pergolas, outdoor furniture and more. It works on pressure-treated wood, cedar, redwood, and even many composites.
Several factors need to be taken into consideration, condition of material prior to application and of course weather (UV Rays, Water, Traffic). Generally speaking, it can last 1yr. on up to 2yrs plus.
We recommended to do yearly or at the very least 18-24 months.
